Job summary

Engage Education in Lewes is seeking Trainee Positive Behaviour Mentors to support local SEND schools. Training will be provided; prior SEMH experience helps. Applicants from youth support, care, or similar backgrounds are encouraged.

Psychology graduates are especially welcome to apply for roles aligned with their background. Responsibilities include supporting pupils from Reception to KS4, de-escalation, behaviour management, and collaboration with staff to engage learners and report feedback

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH students is beneficial
• Strong behaviour management approach
• Able to build rapport with pupils and staff

Responsibilities

• Support a range of vulnerable children from Reception to KS4
• Calm and de-escalate behaviours as needed
• Assist with class engagement and minimise disruption
• Provide feedback to teachers and parents
• Be available full time from 8.15am to 3.30pm
