Job summary

Hamilton Ross Group is offering an Agricultural Service Engineer Apprenticeship in Scotland. You’ll learn alongside experienced engineers while working towards qualifications and hands-on experience to become a fully qualified Agricultural Service Engineer.

Starting in the workshop team, you’ll service, maintain and repair machinery, build fault-finding skills, and prepare equipment for customers. The program is delivered with Scotland’s Rural College and offers mentoring, practical training and

Qualifications

  • Two National 4 qualifications including English and Maths.
  • Two National 5 qualifications in any subject, or a National Certificate in Land-Based Engineering.
  • You must be aged 16 or over.
  • Practical experience with machinery, vehicles, tools or mechanical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to service, maintain and repair agricultural machinery and equipment.
  • Build fault-finding skills using diagnostic technology and workshop tools.
  • Assemble and prepare new and used machinery for customer delivery.
  • Inspect, clean and valet machinery to a high standard.
  • Support workshop maintenance and other day-to-day engineering tasks.
  • Follow safe working practices and manufacturer procedures at all times.
  • Learn from experienced engineers across a wide range of machinery and technology.
