Job summary

Scot Agri in Kelso is seeking a skilled Agricultural Engineer to join the team. You will visit customer sites across the area to maintain, repair and service machines to a high standard, with a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and bonus.

The role offers a 39-hour basic week, generous holiday entitlement and a company van for private use, along with comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Good IT skills.
• Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites to manufacturer specifications.
• Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines.
• Completing all relevant paperwork daily.
• Submitting daily timesheets and job cards.
• Ordering parts and working closely with the parts department.
• Working closely with the service supervisor.
• Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers.
• Carrying out inspections and repairs at the depot as required.
• Ensuring safety and reporting defective or unsafe equipment.
