Job summary

NHS Scotland in Stracathro Regional Treatment Centre is seeking a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Band 7 Annex 21 para 2 (i)) to work 36 hours per week. The post is a training position, designed to develop autonomous practice over 18 months with a consolidation period of at least 6 months.

Applicants must be registered on UK NMC Sub-part 1 RN1 or RN2 and hold Degree Level education, with CPD evidence and broad Band 5 experience across specialties. Informal inquiries to Victoria Hampson.

Qualifications

• Evidence of continual professional development within an appropriate clinical setting.
• Willingness to work towards Masters level education.
• Experience across more than one specialty at Band 5 level.

Responsibilities

• Training post progressing toward becoming an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
• Develop autonomous practice as training requirements are completed.
• Adapt to changing activity and acuity in the surgical unit while exercising advanced practice skills.
