Job summary

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Acute Medicine team. The post combines advanced assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

You will undertake a three-year training programme with 15 hours of non-clinical time per week and 22.5 hours of clinical work in years 1–2, increasing to 37.5 hours in year 3.

Qualifications

• Three-year structured training programme to become a Band 8a trained ACP.
• Rotations and cross-site working across Acute Medicine with multidisciplinary support.
• Commitment to sign the Financially Sponsored Employees Document if training is interrupted.

Responsibilities

• Complete the three-year training programme with supervision and academic study/exams.
• Work 22.5 hours clinically in years 1–2 and 37.5 hours in year 3, with 15 hours non-clinical time per week.
• After training, progress to a Band 8a Trained ACP and cover a 24/7 rota as required.
