Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Acute Medicine) to join the Acute Medicine team. You will train under supervision to develop advanced assessment, diagnostics and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow a structured training programme over three years, balancing clinical duties with academic study, and may progress to a Band 8a trained ACP on successful completion.

Qualifications

• Extensive post registration experience in Emergency Acute Medicine at Band 6 level or above.
• Evidence of leadership and involvement in policy/clinical practice change.
• Ability to study at Masters level and complete the required academic qualification within the set timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Complete the training programme in 3 years.
• Balance clinical duties with academic study; have protected non-clinical time.
• Prepare for progression to Band 8a trained ACP on successful completion.
• Cross-site working as required by the Trust and service needs.
