Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Acute Medicine. The role includes developing advanced assessment and decision-making skills within a fast-paced acute medicine pathway, with strong supervision and a structured training programme.

You will work with senior ACPs, consultants, nurses and allied health professionals, progressing to Band 8a trained ACP on successful completion of internal competences and exams, and then

Qualifications

• Extensive post registration experience within Emergency Acute Medicine at Band 6 level or above.
• Extensive professional/clinical knowledge in Emergency/Acute Medicine or Critical Care with CPD.
• Evidence of effective people management and leadership skills.
• Involvement of policy and clinical practice change.

Responsibilities

• Complete the 3-year structured training programme with academic learning and supervised clinical practice.
• Work cross-site and cover rota requirements in line with service needs.
