Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking an Asphalt Planner based at Breedon Head Office, Pinnacle House, Breedon on the Hill, Derbyshire, to coordinate delivery of asphalt and aggregates to customers by phone and email.

You will plan asphalt plants to use the most cost-effective source, schedule orders, monitor progress, and communicate with customers and internal teams to maximise service quality and commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Strong attention to detail essential.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with asphalt and aggregates products is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan asphalt plants to source the most cost-effective options and schedule orders.
• Coordinate delivery to customers via phone and email while keeping them informed.
• Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunities and ensure on-time delivery.

Based in an office environment, you’ll work with our customers and commercials teams via telephone and email to coordinate delivery of our asphalt and aggregate products. Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, you won’t be restricted by lots of red tape; you will have the opportunity to engage with your customers, truly getting to know them.

Key Responsibilities

As an Asphalt Planner you will respond to enquiries and work in an organised fashion, working within a team in a fast-paced environment you will be responsible for the planning of our asphalt plants making sure we are supplying from our most cost-effective plant, scheduling and monitoring of customers’ orders. You must be able to meet customers’ requirements whilst keeping them informed and maximising our commercial opportunities. Effective communication between both internal and external stake holders is paramount right up to delivery on the customers doorstep!

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Customer service experience

• Experienced with or knowledge of Asphalt and Aggregates products
