Job summary

Falkirk Council is seeking class teachers who are highly skilled practitioners, devoted to delivering excellent learning and teaching experiences for children and young people.

This 28-hour-per-week post is temporary until May 2027 to cover maternity leave. Successful candidates must be GTCS registered and prepared to gain PVG membership, with PVG costs met by the preferred candidate. Applicants should detail skills, experience and attributes they can bring to the post.

Qualifications

• Hold a primary or secondary qualification (preferably ASN experience).
• Be fully registered with the General Teaching Council, Scotland (GTCS).
• Must demonstrate commitment, knowledge and skills outlined in the Standard for Full Registration.

• Attend classroom observations as part of the recruitment process.
• Participate in a Short Leet interview if progressed to the next stage.
