Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council seeks a Teacher of ASL for Meldrum Academy (Meldrum CSN) to deliver high-quality American Sign Language education. The post is networked across Meldrum Academy and Meldrum CSN, with flexible cluster arrangements for operational needs.

The successful candidate will be fully GTC Scotland registered and subject to PVG scheme checks; references and safeguarding checks are required. Salary will align with SNCT agreements and local terms.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent registration with GTC Scotland.
• PVG scheme check required prior to appointment.
• Ability to deliver ASL teaching and meet SNCT terms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality education to assigned pupils in ASL.
• Work within Meldrum Academy/Meldrum CSN network and cluster as required.
• Contribute to school and external partner relations as per Local Negotiating Committee guidelines.
