Job summary

Qualifications

• Evidence of teaching, training and supervision
• Substantial Aseptic Manufacturing experience
• Current post Band 5 or above
• Good team player and sensitive to the need to optimise team performance
• Staff Appraisal and Personal Development experience
• Recruitment and selection experience
• NHS Experience
• NVQ3 Pharmacy Services, BTEC Pharmaceutical Science OR CGLI/Apothecaries Hall pre-1985 certificates
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhc)
• Science Manufacturing Technician -SMT Apprenticeship (Level 3 Diploma in the Principles of Aseptic Pharmaceuticals Processing
• Registered Science Technician -RSsciTech
• Member of Association of Pharmacy Technicians (APT(UK)
• Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance experience
• Leeds Aseptic Course for Managers or equivalent.
• Train the Trainer Course or equivalent
• NVQ Assessor Award
• Accuracy Checking Accreditation
• Basic computer literacy (word, excel, outlook)
• Up to date knowledge of GMP and GCP
• Pharmacy computerised systems
• Audit Reporting
• Project management knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills
• Regularly communicates with key groups / stakeholders
• Experience of report writing
• Writing Standard Operating Procedures
• The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent.

Responsibilities

• To deliver practical and theoretical competency-based training to all staff allocated to the department to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance is always adhered to.
• To ensure all training packages/records are up to date and staff working within this area are competent. To maintain a high standard of Aseptic competence and knowledge to deliver the training effectively.
• To assist the Principal Pharmacy Technicians with the day-to-day co-ordination when necessary.
• To always maintain high professional standards and ensure that statutoryregulations concerning Aseptic Services and the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act are complied with.
