Job summary
NHS Lothian Pharmacy & Medicines Service at St John’s Hospital seeks an experienced Aseptic Technical Manager (Band 6) to lead the aseptic pharmacy team and oversee daily operations. You will coordinate a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring high quality aseptic dispensing and patient care.
You will work with the Aseptic Leadership Team to develop services, provide training, and drive improvements while maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- National Certificate in Pharmacy Services and Scottish SVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- HN unit: Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Award.
Responsibilities
- Lead the aseptic team and coordinate day-to-day management of Aseptic Services.
- Collaborate with the Aseptic Leadership Team to provide high-quality services.
- Support Cancer Services pharmacy team in developing and reviewing aseptic medicines.
- Engage in service development and personal/professional development opportunities.
