Job summary

The Calderdale And Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Aseptic Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit under supervision. You will deliver and develop aseptic dispensing aligning with Trust objectives and NHS priorities, ensuring all practices meet regulatory requirements for patient safety.

Key duties include dispensing aseptics, supervising staff, and contributing to medicines management while handling hazardous compounds and participating in clinical trial activities

Responsibilities

• Dispense and issue prescriptions in the Pharmacy of the base hospital.
• Query prescriptions with prescribers within delegated authority.
• Contribute to medicines management to optimise the drug budget.
• Mentor staff through Controlled Drug training and rotation.
• Process controlled drug orders and prescriptions.
• Assess complex situations and advise on non-formulary medicines.
• Participate in activities related to clinical trials.
