Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is offering a 15-month Level 2 Science Manufacturing Process Operative apprenticeship in the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, in a sterile environment with some Bank Holiday and weekend commitments.

The programme includes GMP principles and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems training. Upon successful completion, pay rises to Band 3; during training, pay aligns with Annex 21 arrangements.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to learning and ability to plan own workload.
• Good manual dexterity and high accuracy, PPE must be worn.
• Excellent communication and a professional, patient-centred attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work in specialist clean room areas generating worksheets/labels and assembling medicines.
• Prepare injectable medicines and assist in dispensing and stock control.
• Ensure GMP and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems are understood and followed.
