Job summary

Impact Futures in Leeds is seeking a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to work under supervision and complete the Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. You will develop the knowledge and skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician, supporting safe medicine supply and high-quality patient care.

The role involves assisting with preparations and prescriptions, managing stock, maintaining records in pharmacy computer systems, and adhering to legal and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and undertake further training.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service environment.
• Reliable, organised, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe preparation, dispensing, and supply of medicines under supervision.
• Accurately receive, process, and assemble prescriptions following standard operating procedures.
• Support stock management, including ordering, receiving, rotating, and checking pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain accurate records using pharmacy computer systems.
• Participate in the storage and disposal of medicines in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
• Support the delivery of pharmacy services, including health promotion initiatives where appropriate.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, carers, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection legislation.
• Follow all health and safety, infection prevention, and safeguarding procedures.
• Report incidents, errors, or concerns in accordance with organisational policies.
• Complete all apprenticeship learning activities, including coursework, assessments, and workplace evidence within agreed
