Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join the aseptic/chemotherapy service at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary site in Lancaster. You will train and guide junior staff, support daily operations, and help deliver safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care.

Applicants must be a registered GPhC Pharmacy Technician with an Accredited Checking qualification and be prepared to participate in ongoing training and revalidation.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician with GPhC.
• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent.
• Accredited Checking Qualification with Northwest framework.
• GCP accreditation and Assessor Award desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in high quality aseptic chemotherapy preparation service.
• Support senior technicians in day-to-day running of aseptic unit.
• Train technicians, apprentices and assistants in technical aspects.
• Ensure safe, timely and cost-effective pharmaceutical services for patients and staff.
• Maintain documentation and participate in audits and training.
