Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit. You will assist with manufacturing and dispensing ready-to-use, patient-specific aseptically prepared injections, including cancer chemotherapy, and maintain documentation in our clean room facilities.

This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) carries a salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum.

Qualifications

• Good command of English language and numeracy.
• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
• Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines (APDM).

Responsibilities

• Support workers in the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit in clean rooms preparing chemotherapy injections for patients with cancer.
• Complete documentation and perform complex calculations within isolators in the clean room facilities.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and ensure safe aseptic practices.
