Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust in Halifax seeks a Band 5 Pharmacy Aseptic Technician to support aseptic dispensing and develop an outstanding patient-focused service. You will work under supervision to ensure compliance with national priorities and local objectives, delivering safe, effective pharmacy services.

The role requires a relevant qualification and registration, a commitment to CPD, and the ability to mentor staff within a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy services or equivalent.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Experience in hospital pharmacy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and dosage accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Dispenser and check aseptic prescriptions in the base hospital.
• Mentor staff and provide supervision and training.
• Participate in stock control and medicines budgeting.
• Handle hazardous medicines safely (cytotoxic, monoclonal antibodies, radiopharmaceuticals).
• Process controlled drug orders and prescriptions.
