Job summary

Ethos Education Ltd is recruiting an ASD Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in a Northolt school starting in September. The role involves supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) 1:1 and in small groups to access learning, develop communication and social skills, and build confidence and independence.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide consistent, individualized support. DBS check and safeguarding procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism or other special educational needs.
• Patience and confidence in adapting approaches to individual pupils.
• Active and proactive involvement in supporting learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and support in small groups for pupils with ASD.
• Support access to learning and develop communication and social skills.
• Build pupils' confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to review and tailor support.
