Job summary

Academics is seeking an ASD Support Worker for a Primary School in Walton-on-Thames. The role is full-time with a day rate of £90-£105, starting immediately. You will support pupils with ASD to access learning, develop social skills and engage with classroom activities.

The position suits those with experience in SEN, education, care or support work and who are committed to helping children with additional needs reach their potential. DBS and right-to-work documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or special educational needs (SEN).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD
• Help pupils access learning activities and participate fully in school life
• Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills
• Implement personalised support strategies in line with pupils' individual needs
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to promote positive outcomes
• Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
