Job summary

Academics in Cheltenham is seeking an ASD Support Worker to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a primary school setting. You will help children access learning, develop social skills, and participate fully in school life.

You will collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to promote positive outcomes, creating a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment. This full-time role offers an immediate start and ongoing training and support.

£90-£105 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start | Cheltenham

Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and helping them reach their full potential?

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Worker to join their supportive team. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing tailored support to help them engage in learning, develop social skills, and build confidence within the classroom environment.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, psychology, youth work, or anyone looking to build a career supporting children with additional needs.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD
• Help pupils access learning activities and participate fully in school life
• Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills
• Implement personalised support strategies in line with pupils' individual needs
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to promote positive outcomes
• Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
