Job summary

ASD Support Worker - Primary School | Cheltenham

£90-£105 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start | Cheltenham

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Worker to join their supportive team. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing tailored support to help them engage in learning, develop social skills, and build confidence within the classroom environment.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, psychology, youth work, or anyone looking to build a career supporting children with additional needs.

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD
  • Help pupils access learning activities and participate fully in school life
  • Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills
  • Implement personalised support strategies in line with pupils' individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to promote positive outcomes
  • Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
