Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Autism Spectrum Condition (ASc) Secondary TA in Portsmouth to support pupils in a friendly, supportive team, with a focus on enabling ASC students to thrive in class and lunchtime routines.

This full-time, long-term role starts ASAP. Hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily rate of 140. Experience in SEN or autism is welcomed; safeguarding training is desirable, and DBS checks/updating service can be provided.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification (preferable but not essential).
• Previous experience in a UK school.
• Experience working with children in education or similar settings.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training can be provided)

Experience and Training

• Teaching Assistant qualification (preferable but not essential)

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
