Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a Workplace Compliance Manager to lead the management of workplace compliance, facilities services and statutory obligations across our office estate.

Reporting to the Director of SHEQ, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and management system requirements, including fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas, electrical and physical security arrangements.

Qualifications

• BOHS qualified (minimum).
• Experience in social housing, maintenance or minor works.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and best practices.
• Experience with audits, reporting and compliance systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organized and able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture with a Zero Harm approach.
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Carry out regular site audits, inspections and safety tours.
• Own and lead the development of the company Asbestos procedures.
• Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation.
• Monitor and analyse data to identify trends and improvements.
• Support in incident investigation as subject matter expert.
• Encourage reporting of hazards, near misses and incidents.
• Support, attend and guide site teams.
• Attend SHEQ meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
