Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join a well-established consultancy. You will carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition surveys across the South West, ensuring compliance with HSG264 and UKAS procedures.

Working independently with the support of an operations team, you will produce accurate survey reports, manage your workload across multiple sites, and liaise with clients and contractors to maintain high quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
• Experience as an asbestos surveyor is required or preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Work across commercial and mixed-use properties in Bristol and the South West.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling and follow company procedures.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage your own workload across multiple client sites.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a range of commercial and mixed-use properties throughout Bristol and the South West.

Working independently and with the support of an experienced operations team, you will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Working across commercial and mixed-use properties
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling and ensuring company procedures are followed correctly
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
• Managing your own workload effectively across multiple client sites
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
• Ability to manage your workload independently
• Full UK driving licence
