Job summary

Mitie, as part of Tersus, is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor/Site Analyst to perform comprehensive asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and industrial properties from its Thurso base. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge and accurate reporting backed by formal qualifications.

You will provide technical guidance to clients, ensure compliance with GPD 4 and current asbestos regulations, and contribute to a culture of safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• The BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications are required for this role.
• RSPH Level 3 Certificate for Asbestos Air Monitoring Analysts is mandatory.
• BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos is required prior to employment.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all asbestos-related work complies with GPD 4, General Quality Procedures and current regulations.
• Provide quality services and technical information to clients, review reports, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Participate in audits, attend meetings, and report incidents requiring insurer or legal notification.
• Provide technical advice, prepare health and safety risk assessments, and support staff compliance.
• Support business objectives by taking on additional duties and maintaining professional standards in the asbestos field.
