Job summary

Mitie Group plc. (via Tersus) is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor based in Watford to perform a full range of asbestos surveying duties across domestic, commercial and industrial properties.

You will support clients with technical advice and accurate reporting, while adhering to HSG264 and internal procedures. The role offers a base salary in the £32,000–£40,000 range, with weekend work potential and an OTE around £46,000.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience surveying asbestos across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors
• Valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, management, refurbishment and demolition surveys in various properties in line with HSG264 and company procedures
• Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS-accredited laboratories
• Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support
• Liaise with internal teams and clients, presenting a professional image at all times

SALARY £32,000 – £40,000 base salary, exclusive of weekend working (OTE including weekends: £46,000)

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties in accordance with HSG264 and company procedures
• Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited laboratories approved by the company
• Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support where required
• Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality team, Contracts team, Project Managers, Supervisors and clients as required, while setting a personal example and promoting the company in a professional manner at all times

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• BOHS P402 qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors
• Full UK driving licence
