Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Asbestos Analyst for the Thurso site. The role covers full asbestos surveying duties across domestic, commercial and industrial properties, with emphasis on reporting, technical advice and client liaison.

Site-based position with accommodation and a fleet vehicle provided. BOHS and RSPH qualifications are required, along with a full UK driving licence. Interviews are held midweek but flexible arrangements can be made.

Qualifications

• Proven competence in asbestos surveying and air monitoring.
• Ability to produce accurate technical reports for clients.
• Experience building client relationships and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Undertake airborne fibre monitoring, fibre counting, 4 Stage Clearances (4SC), and Certificate for Reoccupation activities in accordance with internal General Quality Procedures, and current asbestos regulations
• Produce accurate and timely reports, compile recommendations, provide technical information to the client, and ensure all reporting is completed to the required standards and timescales
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and service providers, including arranging and attending client meetings, audits, and training sessions
• Support the Site Manager in the preparation and delivery of RAMS, risk assessments, technical documentation, and provide technical advice to ensure health, safety, and compliance requirements are met
