Penguin Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team covering Bristol and the wider South West. The role involves performing management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys in commercial and mixed-use properties, with reporting and client liaison responsibilities.

Candidate should hold BOHS P402 (or equivalent), have UKAS consultancy experience, strong knowledge of HSG264 and asbestos legislation,

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy.
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Work across commercial and mixed-use properties in Bristol and the South West.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling and ensure company procedures are followed correctly.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage workload effectively across multiple client sites and liaise with clients and internal teams.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a range of commercial and mixed-use properties throughout Bristol and the South West.

Working independently and with the support of an experienced operations team, you will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Working across commercial and mixed-use properties
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling and ensuring company procedures are followed correctly
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
• Managing your own workload effectively across multiple client sites
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance
