Job summary

Annual Salary range:from £ 45,000.00 to £ 57,200.00

Main Objectives:

  • Safely carry out all projects to the highest standard whilst paying particular attention to finishing them on time and ensuring profitability is maximised through efficient utilisation of time, labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Lead by example in all elements of day-to-day requirements of your role and to professionally manage all on site personnel and sub-contractors, ensuring their adherence to all procedures and legislation, in line with UKAS accreditation and company procedural documentation.

This position will cover a Region, largely between Sheffield and North London.

Role & Responsibilities (Accountabilities):

Removals:

  • Oversee and manage asbestos removal projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement asbestos removal plans and strategies, including assessing risks, creating work schedules, and coordinating resources.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments against the plan of works and raise any concerns regarding the removal’s methods to the Ops Manager.
  • Accurately report all damaged/lost/stolen equipment immediately to Ops Manager.
  • Ensure that proper safety protocols and procedures are followed throughout the asbestos removal process, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and containment measures.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to asbestos removal crews and trainee Asbestos removal operatives, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Respond to incidents or emergencies related to asbestos removal, implementing appropriate corrective actions and reporting incidents as required.
  • Ensure you have required training for any project, certificates are in date including medical and face fits and copies are available on site.
  • Ensure that you and your team have read/signed and understood the POW and associated risk assessments. Ensure that everyone on site is fully aware of any risks associated with the site and understand the systems in regard to First Aid, Fire, Welfare and Security/Site Rules.
  • Conduct final site inspections on completion of the removal works to sign off the project.
  • Report accidents and incidents in line with company and H&S procedures.
  • Capture site photographs throughout the project as and when required.

Standards:

  • Always behave in keeping with the company core values.
  • Always put health and safety first. Follow the company H&S policy and procedure document including accident, incident and near miss reporting procedures.
  • Highest quality and professional delivery of every service and advice in full accordance with HSE legislation, accreditations, and company procedural documentation.
  • Professionalism and cleanliness in appearance (clean shaven), equipment (including clean and maintained RPE & PPE) & vehicles.
  • At all times have the required in date training certification, medical certification, face fit testing certification & Quality& technical manual (with legislation)
  • Full adherence to all company procedures including but not limited to, sickness & absence, vehicles, timekeeping, overtime & expenses.
