Job summary

Future Select Limited is seeking an Asbestos Quality / Technical Manager in Wolverhampton to lead quality and compliance within a UKAS-accredited asbestos company. You will implement improvements, audit works, retain accreditation, and train staff while advising clients on technical matters.

The role requires strong experience in asbestos management, knowledge of UKAS and HSG guidelines, and BOHS/RSPH modules (P401–P405). Excellent communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in asbestos quality/technical management.
• Fully conversant with UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines.
• BOHS/RSPH modules (P401–P405) or equivalent.
• CoCa/CCP qualifications are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and compliance within a UKAS-accredited asbestos company.
• Modify and implement improvements to quality processes.
• Audit completed works to ensure compliance.
• Maintain UKAS accreditation within the department.
• Investigate non-compliances and implement preventative measures.
• Induct and train new staff.
• Meet with clients to discuss requirements and provide technical advice.
• Oversee a team of technical staff and supervise service reporting.
• Audit external training schemes and keep personal technical knowledge up to date.

Job Title: Asbestos Quality / Technical Manager
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £35k – £50k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued company growth, our client is seeking a knowledgeable Asbestos Quality / Technical Manager in the Midlands region. You will be joining a privately owned outfit who provide the full range of asbestos management services, and are actively winning new contracts across the UK. We are seeking someone with robust technical knowledge and proven success of overseeing the maintenance of compliance within a UKAS accredited outfit. The ideal applicant will be able to hit the ground running and will be confident in working self-sufficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to join an independent outfit, and support their ongoing development. Experience / Qualifications:

• – Strong track record working as an Asbestos Quality / Technical Manager
• – Fully conversant in UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
• – Will hold BOHS / RSPH modules (i.e. P401, P402, P403, P404 and / or P405)
• – It would be advantageous to hold the CoCa and / or CCP
• – Strong communication skills
• – Attention to detail
• – Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

The Role:

• – Maintaining quality and compliance levels within a UKAS accredited Asbestos company
• – Modifying and implementing improvements to quality processes
• – Auditing on completed works to ensure compliance
• – Successfully maintaining UKAS accreditation within the department
• – Thoroughly investigating non-compliances and implementing preventative measures to avoid repetition
• – Inducting and training new staff members
• – Meeting with clients to discuss their requirements and provide technical advice
• – Overseeing a team of technical staff
• – Completing regular service reports
• – Performing auditing on external training schemes
• – Maintaining own personal technical knowledge
