Job summary

Bolsover District Council is seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join the Community Safety and Enforcement Team. The role involves working with victims, witnesses and perpetrators to investigate incidents and coordinate enforcement actions with partners, including housing, police and other council services.

You will gather evidence, take statements and, where appropriate, pursue warnings, notices, fixed penalties and prosecutions.

Qualifications

• To understand what Anti-Social Behaviour is and its effects on victims and communities.
• Good literacy and computer/typing skills to keep accurate records, reports and statements.
• Strong communication with colleagues, agencies and the public in challenging circumstances.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a workload and recognise risks of harm.
• A current driving licence and access to a vehicle to carry out duties across the district.

Responsibilities

• Deal with victims, witnesses and perpetrators of Anti-Social Behaviour.
• Evidence gathering, statement taking and investigation.
• Enforcement actions may include warnings, notices, fixed penalties and prosecutions/court appearances.
• Coordinate with Housing, Community Safety, Community Rangers and the police.
