About ARU Police Education

ARU is partnered with The Metropolitan Police and the Seven Police Forces in the Eastern Region – Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, and Suffolk – to train future Police Officers. We deliver two new Police Constable Entry Routes (PCER): the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP), developed by the College of Policing.

This is an opportunity to be involved in shaping future Police Officers and join an industry-leading team. The PCER programmes aim to professionalise policing by recognizing and raising educational standards. New Police Constables will undertake a three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), combining a degree with on-the-job training, or a two-year Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) for those with a degree. These programmes are delivered at police training facilities and our dedicated Police Education centre in London.

About The Role

We are seeking a Content Manager to lead our Content Team and oversee the development of teaching materials for the PCER programmes: DHEP and PCDA, serving the Seven Police Forces in the Eastern Region.

Applicants should have a degree, management experience, excellent communication and influencing skills, and an understanding of how the PCER programmes benefit Police, Public Service, and Higher Education. UK policing experience and experience in developing teaching and learning materials are also required.

Please note that background checks, including clearance from the College of Policing barring list and NPPV level 2 (Full) clearance, are mandatory due to access to police premises. Travel between police establishments and ARU campuses is also required.

Salary: £45,163
