Job summary

Avanti Fields School is looking for an enthusiastic Art & Performing Arts Technician to support our Art, Music and Drama departments. You will help prepare engaging lessons, maintain equipment and assist with school performances and exhibitions.

Experience with kiln use for ceramics is desirable. You will work alongside staff and pupils, ensuring safety and organisation across practical spaces, lessons and displays.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English, maths and science.
• Experience with health and safety in a support role.
• Working knowledge of art materials and processes.
• Strong organisational and resource management skills.
• Ability to work creatively both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and assist with lessons and demonstrations.
• Set up, dismantle, and store apparatus for lessons and events.
• Manage stock control and carry out minor repairs.
• Ensure health and safety standards and risk assessments are followed.
• Maintain tidy, safe spaces across the arts departments.
