Job summary

Hijinx is seeking an Artist Development Director on a part-time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The role leads the organisation's artist development programme in partnership with the Artistic Director, delivering high-quality training for Hijinx artists and preparing them for Hijinx projects and external opportunities.

The post holder will drive strategy and operations for all training, ensuring continuous improvement and collaboration across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role supporting professional development.
• Skilled at people management and leadership of teams.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead on development and delivery of the artist development programme.
• Act as strategic and operational lead for all training for learning disabled and/or autistic artists.
• Collaborate across the organisation to identify opportunities for artists in training.
• Ensure continuity and effective operational oversight during maternity cover.
• Supporting artists, participants, staff and key relationships; focus on delivery and current priorities.
