Job summary

Hijinx Theatre is recruiting an Artist Development Director on a part-time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The role leads the artist development programme and training for Hijinx artists, in collaboration with the Artistic Director, ensuring high-quality experiences for future Hijinx projects and broader creative industry opportunities.

The position is 3 days per week during maternity leave, with hybrid working from the Hijinx Office in Cardiff Bay.

Qualifications

• Experience in artist development or professional development.
• Experience in people management and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of Hijinx's artist development programme in partnership with the Artistic Director.
• Ensure high-quality training experiences for Hijinx artists in preparation for Hijinx projects and external opportunities.
• Collaborate across the organisation to identify training opportunities for artists.
• As part of the senior leadership team, contribute to organisational strategy and governance.
• During maternity cover, provide continuity and effective operational oversight of the Artist Development programme.
