Job summary

The University of Liverpool - The Academy invites applications for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Assistant on a part-time 0.4 FTE, fixed-term for up to 12 months, to support AI tool development in our clinical research programme related to drug development and optimisation.

You will assist day-to-day technical development of AI tools, including design, development, testing, validation, documentation and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI tooling development and AI research workflows.
• Familiarity with LLMs, NLP methods and statistical approaches.

We are seeking to recruit an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Assistant to assist the development of various AI tools and support ongoing research works in this area. These AI tools will form part of our established and varied programme of clinical research related to drug development and optimisation.

You will take on day-to-day responsibility for supporting technical development of AI tools, including design and development, testing and validation, documentation, implementation and continuous maintenance of tools.

You should have practical and working experience in computer programming with LLMs and generative AI and background in artificial intelligence, data science, NLP or statistical methodologies.
