Job description

De Warenne Academy are looking to appoint an Art Technician to join our academy in September 2025, on a full time, permanent basis.

Your new role

As the Technician for the Art department, you will work closely with the Head of Department to support teaching and learning by ensuring equipment and resources are prepared and in good working order to facilitate effective lessons on a daily basis.

Hours:37 hours per week / Term Time only (38 weeks)

Since our OFSTED inspection in October 2021, which deemed De Warenne a ‘Good’ school in all areas, GCSE results have shown a continuous improvement year on year.

The class of 2023 left our Academy with fantastic results, making the most progress in the history of De Warenne and having made more progress than any other secondary school in Doncaster. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, with academic, vocational and technical subjects offered to all our students and we deliver a rich and varied personal development curriculum. We offer a wide range of enrichment activities in order to unearth a variety of strengths and talent, which we strongly encourage students to take part in. We also take learning beyond the classroom with events and educational visits running throughout the year. We serve the villages of Conisbrough and Denaby Main, situated between Doncaster and Rotherham.We are a small but oversubscribed academy, with over 750 students on roll, and we pride ourselves on knowing our students well and doing our best to ensure everyone fulfils their potential.
