Job summary

Kepier is seeking an Art and Technology Technician to support the Art and Technology Department in a school setting. The role is 37 hours per week, permanent, term time (38 weeks) plus one week, with NJC scale £25,614–£26,016 (pro-rata £22,659–£23,014).

The technician will perform safety checks on machines, prepare lesson materials, and assist with CAD/CAM tools, laser cutting, 3D printing and kiln use, plus general equipment management.

Qualifications

• Experience with workshop safety and routine maintenance.
• Ability to prepare materials and resources for lessons.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools and workshop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and maintenance checks on workshop machines.
• Prepare materials and resources for lessons as required.
• Assist in daily equipment management and repairs.
• Support use of CAD/CAM software, laser cutter, 3D printer and kiln.
