Job summary

Bridgnorth Endowed School is seeking a committed Art teacher to join us on maternity cover from 2 November 2026 for two terms. You will teach engaging Art lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, inspire creativity, and help students progress with high expectations.

We welcome both ECTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about art, work well in a collaborative team, and contribute to the wider life of the school through events and enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in Art education.
• Ability to plan and assess progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and high-quality Art lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence and artistic skills.
• Plan, deliver and assess learning to ensure all students make progress.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement, behaviour and presentation.
• Monitor and report on student progress and attainment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
• Support the wider life of the school through events such as parents' evenings and open evenings.
