Job summary

Outcomes First Group's Dibden Park School in Southampton is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs and complex behaviours. You will deliver personalised art lessons and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

You will plan, assess progress, adapt teaching to each pupil, and work with a multidisciplinary team to promote creativity, confidence and resilience.

Qualifications

• Teaching Qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) required.
• Experience planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to diverse learning needs.
• Experience working with students with autism, SEND or challenging behaviour (desirable).
• A positive, resilient, and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons tailored to individual students and small groups.
• Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and creativity.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Develop and review individual education and behaviour plans to support positive outcomes.
• Promote student confidence, independence, wellbeing, and effective behaviour management.
