A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Art to join their team for a one-term maternity cover starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a broad and imaginative Art curriculum. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive department and a school committed to fostering a love of the arts and promoting student achievement.
Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons in line with national curriculum requirements
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Contribute to the broader life of the school, including exhibitions and enrichment activities
Hold QTS and have experience teaching Art at secondary level
Be enthusiastic, creative, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
Be confident managing a classroom and engaging learners of all abilities
Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
A welcoming and collaborative school community
Well-resourced Art department with excellent facilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
