Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher for Dibden Park School in Southampton. You will deliver engaging, personalised Art lessons, supporting students with SEMH needs and diverse behavioural challenges within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires QTS/QTLS or equivalent and a passion for helping young people realise their potential. 40 hours/week, permanent contract, start Oct 2026, UK applicants only; no sponsorship available.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) required.
  • Experience planning and delivering creative and engaging Art lessons.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Experience with autism, SEND or challenging behaviour desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons tailored to individual students and small groups.
  • Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and creativity.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Develop and review individual education and behaviour plans to support positive outcomes.
  • Promote student confidence, wellbeing, independence and effective behaviour management.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, families and multidisciplinary teams while safeguarding student welfare.

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join our specialist educational team, supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism and social, emotional and behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire learners through creativity while helping them achieve both academically and personally.

As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging, personalised lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and achieve positive outcomes. Working as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will create a nurturing learning environment where every student can succeed.

You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality teaching, monitoring progress, and adapting learning to meet individual needs, ensuring each student is supported to reach their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing
