Job summary

Nelson and Colne College is seeking a part-time Technician in the Creative & Digital department, focused on Art & Media. The role involves supporting teaching, preparing photosilkscreens, and assisting with classroom setups and displays across college sites.

You will help with ordering stock, safe storage and disposal of materials, and mounting work for exams and exhibitions. Prior experience and relevant qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Desirable Diploma/HND/BA in Art & Media to support teaching roles.
• Experience with art and media practice and visual imaging software is advantageous.
• Ability to prepare photosilkscreens and assist with classroom setups.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for teaching in the Creative & Digital department.
• Assist in classroom setups, stock ordering and safe storage/disposal of equipment.
• Mount and present work for exams, displays and exhibitions.
