Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Product & Process Optimiser for our Bioresources team at Esholt WWTP. You will work hands-on with the Thermal Hydrolysis Plant and assets, performing sampling, data capture, and routine operations to maximise plant efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The role blends technical, analytical and manual work on site with control-room monitoring, requiring ownership, adherence to Health & Safety procedures, and collaboration with engineers to drive improvements while

Qualifications

• Experience of Health and Safety management processes and systems.
• Technical understanding of production processes.
• Analytical fault diagnosis in production environments.
• Experience delivering continual improvement in a process/production setting.
• Experience in incident management and asset failure recovery.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with proactive ownership.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Proactively optimise on-site processes to improve efficiency and reduce energy costs.
• Monitor Thermal Hydrolysis Plant and Bio-Energy Centre operations.
• Perform routine instrumentation calibration, sampling, and reporting.
• Manage contractors via Control of Work and induct visitors to sites.
• Maintain site safety and compliance, including out-of-hours support.
• Collaborate with Product and Process Engineers to meet targets.
