Job summary

Babcock at Bovington Camp (near Wareham, Dorset) seeks an Armoured Vehicle Crew Leader to supervise a 6-10 person team in maintenance of military vehicles. You’ll lead hands-on work, ensure high standards and safety, and coordinate parts and service planning on site.

The role is full-time, based on Bovington Camp with a 39-hour week, and requires a UK driving licence and SC security clearance.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Good computer literacy and ability to learn in-house systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to undertake regular manual handling and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 6-10 personnel and develop them through performance reviews, coaching and training.
• Inspect equipment and compile job cards detailing Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance requirements.
• Check completed maintenance work and close team job cards to required standards.
• Identify servicing items, consumables and spare parts to support maintenance activities.
• Drive, operate and maintain military vehicles you are qualified for, ensuring safety and correctness.
