Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary is recruiting for an Armed Response Unit transferee constable to join a high‑tempo team. You’ll provide rapid 24‑hour MOE and drone capacity to respond to incidents and support force priorities across the county.

You will operate within a 12‑hour shift system (4 days on, 4 days off over 10 weeks) and develop firearms specialisms through additional courses, maintaining peak readiness and accuracy under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be a confirmed constable.
• Be a member of a Home Office force or Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or Police Scotland.
• Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
• Must hold a full manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour MOE and drone capacity for immediate response.
• Pro-actively support divisions and force priorities.
• Contribute to Operational Support Department’s aims and objectives.
• Develop firearms specialisms and attend additional courses.
