Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting for Area Support Officers to work in Bathgate and Livingston, providing safe, friendly, and secure environments for staff and visitors. The role requires a flexible, customer-facing approach and a valid SIA license, plus a full driving licence and transport to cover multiple sites.

Officers will support a portfolio of locations, follow site instructions, report incidents, and assist with first aid as needed. Training will be provided where necessary.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Full driving licence and access to own transport are essential.
• Experience in customer-facing environments is preferred.
• Physically fit to undertake tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure is essential.
• Flexible attitude and adaptability.
• Knowledge of security and operational systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Relief cover and support to a portfolio of locations within a region.
• Follow site operational guidance and ensure quality service delivery.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Provide a proactive, visible presence and initial client reception guidance.
• Resolve conflicts at client premises in collaboration with on-site teams.
• Ensure public comply with site rules and guidance.
• Use initiative and involve colleagues if situations threaten safety.
• Maintain a smart appearance and visible security presence on site.
• Administer First Aid when needed (training provided).
• Complete legible incident reports when incidents arise.
• Contribute to a safe, secure, welcoming environment for all.
