Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking Area Support Officers for sites around Barnsley. You will provide security coverage across multiple client premises and retail sites, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional communication with staff and visitors.

Role requires a valid SIA DS licence, a driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and willingness to travel. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and site travel as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence.
• Must be a driver with access to own vehicle.
• Must be willing to travel reasonable distances as required by the business.
• Must be willing to work within retail environments.
• Must be flexible and may be assigned other duties/contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide security support across client premises and retail sites.
• Carry out regular patrols and maintain a strong security presence.
• Provide cover at different sites as required by the business.
• Monitor access and egress and respond to incidents appropriately.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors and clients.
• Complete accurate incident reports and follow ASCONE/SAFER procedures.
• Respond confidently to emergencies and escalate issues when required.
• Travel between sites and support other duties as required.
