Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is seeking an Area Security Officer in Leicester. You will patrol, monitor CCTV and assist customers while maintaining a secure site. The role requires a valid SIA licence, a clean history, and a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Shifts include days, nights and weekends on a 12‑hour pattern. You must be reliable, with good communication, a smart appearance, and the ability to drive and travel as needed. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence required and verifiable.
• Clear personal history including education, employment, travel, and unemployment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Smart appearance and professional presentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft applications.
• Reliable, proactive and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
• Totally flexible in shift patterns and duties.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise safety, security and service for the site, staff, car parks, customers and assets.
• Be polite, caring and professional when supporting employees and visitors.
• Manage conflicts in line with training and policy guidelines.
• Maintain vigilance for changes indicating risk or unusual situations.
• Induct visitors, monitor CCTV, conduct regular patrols and perform ad hoc duties.
