Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Security Officer to support DWP sites across Wakefield and surrounding towns. You will patrol premises, deter risks and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The role offers Monday to Saturday shifts, £13.45 per hour, and requires a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence plus a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel between sites. Excellent customer service and calm handling of incidents are essential.

Security Officer – DWP Regional Support Role

Locations covered: Wakefield, Dewsbury,Liversedge,Castleford,Leeds,Bradford,Pontefract,Huddersfield,Barnsley,Hemsworth,Halifax,Skipton,Harrogate
Hourly rate: £13.45 per hour
Shift pattern: Work Available Monday to Saturday, 08:45 to 17:15
Licence requirement: Door Supervisor licence
Driving requirement: Full UK driving licence required

The successful applicant will need to be flexible and confident travelling between DWP sites across the locations listed.

What you'll do

• Complete accurate notebook entries and incident reports following any incident or security concern.
• Follow Mitie and DWP policies, procedures and site instructions at all times.
